In collaboration with the Politechnico di Torino, this summer school, connected to the XVI ECerS Conference 2019 and supported by JECS Trust, will be held at the Lingotto Building from 14–15 June 2019 in Torino Italy.
About 90 participants (students and professionals) from research centres and industry from all over the world are expected, about 10 professors, internationally recognized in this field, are invited. The evening of 14 June 2019 will be devoted to exchanges between students, industrial professionals and professors. The courses will deal with very broad topics: design and properties of ceramics for high and ultra-high temperatures, fundamental aspects (thermodynamic, kinetics, wetting and infiltration, mechanisms of corrosion), testing and advanced characterization methods, applications (aerospace, nuclear, steelmaking, non-ferrous metallurgy, glass, energy, incineration, etc.). This school will favour networking between young scientists and experimenced professors.
